岩城奈巳 IWAKI Nami
I grew up in the United States from elementary through high school. Living abroad formed the foundation of who I am — I can honestly say I wouldn’t be the person I am today without that experience. There is no doubt that the study abroad experience you are aiming for will have a major impact on the rest of your life. I meet many students who want to study abroad but don’t know where to start. Take it one step at a time, and the path will open up. There will be plenty of challenges, but even greater rewards await. Let’s work through it together!
巽 洋子 TATSUMI Yoko
Studying abroad as a student can broaden your horizons, deepen your academic pursuits, and expand your future options. Please feel free to come and talk to us about anything. When I studied abroad as an undergraduate and again as a graduate exchange student, I had no shortage of concerns — career planning, language skills, scholarships — and was supported by many people along the way. At the Office of Study Abroad, we will help you find the right study abroad experience for you. Let’s take that new step forward together.

I studied abroad after entering the workforce. The coursework was demanding and studying at a university was tough, but being able to learn alongside local students and international students from many different countries was a truly worthwhile experience. I would love for all of you to have that same experience, and I am glad to be able to help make it happen.

As a student, I took part in short-term language study abroad programs and fieldwork in developing countries, and after entering the workforce I spent around two years living overseas. Through exchanges with people from all over the world, I accumulated new encounters and discoveries, and it became an opportunity to reflect on myself.
